Shopaholic & Sister by Sophie Kinsella

Shopaholic & Sister
Getting to know the character, Becky Bloomwood was bitter-sweet. You will have no problem getting irritated by this main character.
After returning from a 10-month honeymoon and her shopping spree during that period, her husband, Luke wanted her to cut down on her spending. Also, she discovered that her best friend cum shopping accomplice has found a new best friend. Then, she suspected her parents are hiding something from her.
Her parents later unveiled the news – she’s got a half-sister she never knew she had. What a comforting news! Little did Becky know, as she was anticipating to getting to know her new sister and spending lots of sisterly time together shopping and feasting, her sister was not interested in all that! Jessica hates shopping. She is everything Becky is not. Could Jessica really be Becky’s long lost sister? To make matters worse, instead of helping her husband getting a huge business deal, the client turns out to be the last person Luke would want to be associated with. How did all these impact and change Becky?
The story ends pretty nicely, though. Everything turns out well. Becky did experience some realizations and even made a huge accomplishment.
A good read!

Remember Me by Sophie Kinsella

Remember Me
Lexi wakes up in hospital after a car accident. She’s lost all memory of the last three years and is amazed at how her life has changed: suddenly she’s married to a gorgeous guy, she’s running her department at work and on paper her life suddenly seems perfect. But slowly she starts to realize that things are not quite as wonderful as they initially appeared to be. For starters, her best friends seem to have distanced themselves from her and her husband Eric doesn’t really seem to be her type.
It doesn’t stretch your brain too much and you need to suspend your disbelief that she would have made some of the changes in her life, but overall it’s still very entertaining. This is a fast and fun book to read. A perfect holiday read.
Overall, this book is a great fairy tale story about what is most important in life.
